I know I haven't updated the web page in quite a while. I mostly blame my job situation. One might think that I'd have MORE time now that I'm out of regular work, but they'd be wrong. :) Shortly before losing my job, me and some other musicians started a band, Echoes of Ireland. We wanted to be able to play St. Patrick's Day, which was about 6 months away (at that time). So, I've been spending 4 days a week immersed in irish music.
It paid off, handsomly! We were on the radio (KPFT 90.1 Houston) in February. We got our first paying gig a couple of weeks before St. Paddy's Day at a place called Molly's in Clear Lake City. Then we got 4 paying gigs for St. Paddy's day weekend, and a lot of people signed up to get our gig schedule and the like. Everone seemed to like us, and one place liked us so much, they paid us to play longer! I am certainly quite excited about the band thing. Unfortunately our banjo player (Eamonn) is in China, so we had to make do without.
You can see pictures of us playing at Mr. Cs Irish Pub on Friday, in the gallery. Our schedule is going to be less hectic now. Maybe now I'll be able to update the web page on a more regular basis.

Added The Dusty Windowsil with mp3 recording on a Walton's Guinness whistle. Also updated the sheet music and recording for Drowsy Maggie to reflect ornamentation (the old recording was made years ago). Re-recorded Blarney Pilgrim, now that I've had more than a week's practice on it.
